Sensei Tsukada Course Report
This year’s Sensei Tsukada course was held 0n October 14th – 16th. This is our first course with Sensei for three years due to the disruption of Covid. The Friday session concentrated on the finer points of punching technique. This was developing kime through the correct use of tame, shime and ochi. The Saturday training started with a session aimed more at the junior grades and covered Juroku kata. The second session covered Chibana Kushanku kata. In the evening we had a few well earned drinks and a curry in Worcester. The Sunday session was hosted by Sensei Stuart Hughes in Bromsgrove. Thanks to the students of both Stuart and Sensei Slater Williams for supporting the event. We again concentrated on Chibana Kushanku and bunkai. Sensei Tsukada showed us some very painful applications! I’m sure all those who attended will agree this was a very enjoyable, informative and successful course. I would like to thank all those who supported the event and a big thank you for Sensei Tsukada for coming over to England and giving us a great weekend.
